Random

Fun Facts:
1. Big Brown (this is the blanket a couple of posts ago see December 2009) has been weighed and he is the weight of an infant. He is weighing in at 9.5 lbs.
2. Carroll averages about 33 inches of snow in a winter and we will reach that amount by tomorrow. The National Weather people were very wrong about it being a dry and warm winter! ha! The Farmer's Almanac was correct in their prediction though!
3. We finally decided what to put on our mantle after many hours of debate and searching. This did not become a problem until we took all of the Christmas decoration down. Once we frame a picture from our honeymoon (almost 4 years ago) this area will be complete.

Here is the mantle with all of its glory! We are about to have a fire and enjoy some warmth watching one of our favorite t.v. shows "Bones." We highly recommend Bones if you enjoy NCIS type shows. The following are random pictures of the all the snow we have gotten, and just imagine we will be getting at least 4 to 8 more inches. Enjoy the snow scene from the warmth of your home!

There are mounds of snow throughout the town that look like this from the streets and parking lots being plowed.
Here is a shot of Patrick trying to compete with Mother Nature! The snow is up to his knees in our driveway.

Christmas Rap Up Review & Happy New Year 2010

Happy 2010 to all! We hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas. We got home today safely. Here is a recap of our time in Georgia with photos: Chris, Katy, Me, and Patrick hanging out on my birthday. After opening lots of goodies at my parents house the kids posed in front of the tree. Then we watched the Georgia game. Patrick, Me, Daisy, Tru, Andrew and Mandy.

Daddy helped "Daisy" open her presents. She loved her monkey p.j.'s from Aunt B.B and Uncle Patrick.
"Tru" liked his super hero p.j.'s from us too.
Mandy received rain shoes for all those rainy days they are getting right now in the south.
Daisy and Tru loved playing in the boxes!
Patrick received a blower for Christmas!

To all our friends and family we hope you had a great Christmas, and we are so sorry if we did not get to see you on our trip home this time. We will be home in July and hope to see you then. Happy New Year to you all and we hope you have many blessings this year.

Big Brown

The blanket I have been working on for about 3 years was completed today! We should all pause for a moment of silence to commemorate this feat. I have no clue how many balls of yarn that are in this blanket, and yes it is huge but it is finished. I put myself under a deadline of having this project completed before the end of December 2009 and I finished with time to spare. If we ever lose heat I have dibs on big brown.A picture of me wrapping myself in my biggest knitted accomplishment to date.
Mostly spread out in it's glory.
All ready to be used when needed!
