Big Brown

The blanket I have been working on for about 3 years was completed today! We should all pause for a moment of silence to commemorate this feat. I have no clue how many balls of yarn that are in this blanket, and yes it is huge but it is finished. I put myself under a deadline of having this project completed before the end of December 2009 and I finished with time to spare. If we ever lose heat I have dibs on big brown.A picture of me wrapping myself in my biggest knitted accomplishment to date.
Mostly spread out in it's glory.
All ready to be used when needed!

The Snow Storm

What a pretty sight! The front of our house covered in snow.
The street in front of the house.
Another side shot of the house.
The back yard.
A cool shot of the tree in the front yard.
Bushes with thick snow.
Me thinking WOW snow in DECEMBER!
Who wants to play?
And the snow is still coming down!
Did I mention school was canceled for the day? I get to spend the day with Patrick! Yippee!!

A New Experience

Wow! We received about 2 inches of snow last night, and this morning when we left the house before seven am I had my first experience seeing snow plows. The southern girl in me kept thinking snow day snow day no school for us! I could not believe that school had not be delayed or canceled. Yet again we have snow plows here so off to work we go. I can't believe we have more coming! For all my friends in Georgia and in South Kakalaki I will keep you updated with pictures of the snow we hardly ever see in the South.

Winter Wonderland

Snow is falling and it is lightly dusting the ground. It is supposed to snow throughout the night, and www.weather.com is forecasting snow through Wednesday!
