Date Nights

Last Saturday we went to a murder mystery dinner play. The local community theater put it on and it was great fun. The food was delicious. The menu: fried chicken/ham, potatoes, salad, and other yummy stuff. I figured out the murderer in the first act when he came into the play. Am I great detective or what? I think it is all the murder mystery books I enjoy reading!
Last night their was a musical at the high school called "Little Shop of Horrors," and the students did a fantastic job performing! Two dates in two weekends I don't know what to think. I am enjoying myself and time with the hubby. Some interesting facts about the "Little Shop of Horrors:" it was a $30,000 1960's film that starred Jack Nicholson, and in 1986 the musical version received two Academy Awards, two Golden Globes, and starred Bill Murray. There was a lot more information, but if your interested look up the musicals history online.

I'm not sure what to do with this shelf. Help please.
All the extra stuff that is needed in a bathroom that would not fit in our medicine cabinet!
I am very happy that we have so much storage in our bathroom.

Updates

Well our football team won last night, and will have another game this coming Monday night. They will play until they lose. We hope they go all the way to the state championship game and WIN! This is our High School team.
The weather finally worked in Patrick's favor last night, and the band was able to perform their whole show! They did a really great job.
I am taking my last class in order to have a standard license for K-5 teaching in Iowa. I will have my last class on December 17th! I guess that is it.

Talented Young Artists

Upon moving into our house we received two wonderful pieces of art! I have them displayed on my cabinet because our refrigerator is stainless. I am placing them here so all can enjoy my favorite art! Thanks Braden and Truman!!!!The first picture is from my nephew. The piece is called "God's Creation." Upon opening the letter it came in I cried. It was so special to receive artwork from my special little man. I love you lots.
The second piece is from Braden. He is a sweet little boy of our friends the Egli's, and he wanted to create something special for our new home. Thanks Braden your artwork adds splash to our kitchen.
Here is the artwork together. I can't wait to see how both develop as artists.

Pumpkin Patch

Today was a fun day to reward ourselves for all the hard work we accomplished lately in the house. We spent the day with our friends the Egli's at the Pumpkin Patch. On the way back the guys plotted to go play golf. All the boys went and played and the girls stayed at the house to chat and cook. It was a very nice day had by all. By the way folks the girls have plotted to go shopping Friday afternoon and leave the kids with the menfolks! Here are some really cute pictures of the trip today. Lets face it though it is mainly of the kids because they are a lot more cute than us grown ups.The little ones with their pumpkin find.
Our friends
I just thought Patrick pulling the kids and the pumpkins to be to precious to leave out.

My First Post

I've been accused of neglecting my duties as a co-host of this blog. Tonight, I end my long journey in silence because Brooke neglected to include this most important picture in her last post. I present to you nothing less than the biggest two pumpkins ever created. These two bad boys filled an entire shopping cart at Wallyworld today. I practically had to call in air support to get them into the back of the CR-V. I'm pretty sure the stem on each one is close to seven feet in diameter. I am planning a masterpiece on the front of each one: I'll make sure Brooke posts them when they are completed. (Side note: Brooke has NEVER CARVED A JACKOLANTERN!!!! How is that possible?)

THE 1ST SNOW

We woke up to a brush of snow this morning, but as soon as the sun came out it melted it all away. I was a little shocked to see it because it has mostly been in the 40's-60's during the days here. Here are a few pictures for you all to enjoy:
