NHL or Dentist

Here lately with Charles trying to knock out his teeth we think he is a sure bet for the NHL. Either that or possibly a dentist. After his traumatic visit to the dentist because of his mouth injury on Tuesday he has wanted to play dentist. His favorite dentist tools are Jumbo Leggos. Check out the video we got of him pretending to be a dentist.

Doctor Doctor

Our hospital has a great opportunity for teens and young adults to get a close look at all the medical careers possible for their futures. Last week we were asked to help showcase pediatrics. Mrs. Paulsen does a great job of keeping the groups small so that they get a lot of great information. The group is called Northwest Iowa AHEC. Listening to Charles' heartbeat. His heart beats a lot faster than ours.

They also listened to his lungs. Babies take more breaths per minute than we do because of their lung size.

Future Medical Personnel?

Local high school students that are interested in the medical field toured the hospital. Charles was a participant. They listened to his heart and lungs. He did a great job. He smiled and cooed the whole time.

He has gained 6 pounds since birth!
