NHL or Dentist

Here lately with Charles trying to knock out his teeth we think he is a sure bet for the NHL. Either that or possibly a dentist. After his traumatic visit to the dentist because of his mouth injury on Tuesday he has wanted to play dentist. His favorite dentist tools are Jumbo Leggos. Check out the video we got of him pretending to be a dentist.

Homemade Play-Dough

This is a first for both Charles and myself. I still feel crummy but I felt bad about not spending more time playing and doing things with Charles. So this morning didn't start until 6:40, but after breakfast and getting cleaned up we have: played with toys, chatted on the phone with my mom and niece, and made and played with play-dough. I know that there are plenty of recipes online. I used the third no baking required recipe this time. You will need more water than it calls for. I added food coloring to make our dough blue-green. I would love to get the recipe used by Mrs. Meshek at Glidden Ralston that way my hands will not be blue like they are now. Anyway it was worth it. Charles enjoyed it so much. He did try to eat it and went "yuck". At least it was only flour, salt, water, and food coloring. I need to get a few cookie cutters so he has other toys to use with the play-dough. Destroying my Living Room

Charles started crawling forward on July 25th now he is getting into everything. I am so happy I could upload these videos most of the time I can't get Blogger to upload them.

Superbowl fun- Charles enjoyed playing with Harrison and Will.

These blocks used to be Patrick's when he was little. Charles really likes them. They are just the right size for him to pick up, and of course he tries to eat them. Everything he can put in his mouth goes in his mouth. He also likes to knock over towers that are built for him. Thanks Grandma for sending them in the mail!

Exploring play time: I dump out all kinds of toys and Charles plays with everything off and on during this time. He gets to see, touch, and hear what each toy does. He really studies his toys. It is so fun to watch him learn.

He is just so stinkin' cute.
