Christmas Songs

Is it just me or is there anyone else ready to bust out the Christmas CD's and sing along at the top of your lungs? Well I am so ready. I enjoy the yummy candy and fun costumes for Halloween,  the amazing food and Macy's parade at Thanksgiving, but nothing compares to Christmas carols and songs. Today while at work a couple of the kids started singing what they are practicing for their Christmas concert. Which of course has added flame to the fire of me saying, "no it is not too early." Here are the lyrics to one of the funny songs they are going to be singing:

Sunday Fun with Flat Stanley

Day 6 Adventures:

We went to church. In children's church we learned about seasons and how there is a season for everything under the sun. In a game Charles won the little pumpkin playing Fall Bingo.

 After Charles' nap we went to Deal's Orchard and enjoyed time in the pumpkin patch and playing on the tractor.

Days 4 and 5 with Flat Stanley

Day 4 Adventures:

 Playing and reading inside because of the rainy cool weather. Charles is wearing a sweatshirt from Truman's school.

 We tried on Charles' Halloween costume to make sure it was going to fit for Trick or Treating. Last night Flat Stanley went with Patrick to the football game. Here is Flat Stanley with the band Patrick directs. See if you can find Flat Stanley in the pictures! 

Day 5 Adventures:
 After a late night last night at the football game Flat Stanley slept in. Later that afternoon we went to the park to swing and slide.

 On our way home we stopped at the John  Deere dealership. They sell all kinds of equipment that farmers need to plant and harvest.

RAINY DAY ADVENTURE WITH FLAT STANLEY

It has been a cool rainy day in Iowa. We stayed inside as much as possible.

I planned on taking him to see the park and to see some tractors and combines. The only tractors we got to see up close are the ones on this adorable rain jacket. This afternoon I had to take Charles to the doctor. He has had two bad nights of not sleeping. Just as I suspected he has an ear infection. I just didn't know that both of his ears were infected. He was also running a temp. of 101.6 at the doctor's office.  The doctor put him on medicine and we will go back in two weeks to make sure he is all better. Hopefully sleep is in the cards for all three of us tonight and in the nights to come.

Adventures with Flat Stanley Day 2

Today Flat Stanley went to work at the wind turbine farm (think really big windmills) thanks to our friend Mike Taylor. Flat Stanley got a great birds eye view of Iowa land.

Day 1 Adventures with Flat Stanley

A big hello from Iowa from Flat Stanley.

 

Flat Stanley went to work with me today. He was top chef in foods class today. We made homemade pizza and cinnamon rolls.

 Flat Stanley will not be leaving Iowa flat with all this yummy goodness.

 We picked Charles up from the babysitter.

 This afternoon we walked into town.

 Flat Stanley loves to help out. Today he went to help paint at our church.

 Can you guess where our next stop was at? If you said the library you would be correct. Flat Stanley loves to learn and read!
