This is one of my favorite soups:
Potato Soup
5 lbs of potatoes (diced-peeled)
1 onion (chopped)
1 can of cream of chicken soup
1 small size of velvetta cheese
2 tab. bacon drippings
6-8 slices of cooked bacon and crumbled
Put potatoes and onion in pot and pour enough water to cover. Cook and when soft, drain. Add remaining ingredients, cooking slowly. Add milk to desired thickness
