What We Have In Our Neck Of The Woods

This is what our weather report looks like according to KCCI News: Winter Storm Warning: Issued at: 7:14 PM CST on February 21, 2013, expires at: 12:00 PM CST on February 22, 2013 ...Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until noon CST Friday... short term trends...snowfall of varied intensities will continue into the night with visibilities ranging from a mile or two down to a half mile during the periods of heavier snow. East wind gusts of 25 to 30 mph this evening may also produce blowing and drifting snow...especially in open areas. Storm total snow accumulations...snow accumulations will range from 6 to 9 inches by the time the snow diminishes to flurries early Friday morning. Impacts...roads will remain mostly to completely snow covered into the night. This in combination with reduced visibilities and wind chills from 5 to 15 degrees will make for hazardous travel conditions. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an emergency. If you must travel...keep an extra flashlight... food...and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. Read more: I plan to take some pictures and post tomorrow. So be sure to check back in to see what Q did to our area.
