ABC Blanket

I am just getting started on an ABC blanket. I started last week and I have letters B, C, D, and M complete. Currently I am about half way finished with the letter E. No, I am not doing them in order, but there is order to my madness. When I started out I only bought one ball of blue and one ball of red, and only had a few letter patterns so I started there. Of course I had to chart out letters and colors first. I will be using blue, red, and yellow for the letters and numbers 1-4. I can get about 3 1/2 letters off of one ball of yarn, so I am looking at 3 yellow, 3 blue, and 3 red. The patterns for the letters are from Ravelry by Rhonda K. White. I am makings sure each letter has 36 stitches left to right and 57 rows up and down so they fit nicely together when I am done. I need to go on and find the number patterns. I have no idea which method I will use to connect this all together yet.
Yarn: Cascade yarns 220 superwash sport color numbers 813(blue), 809 (red), and 820 (yellow).
I am using a size 5 needle.
My Chart:
Red 1
Yellow A
 Blue B done
 Red C done
Yellow 2
Blue D done
Red E
Yellow F
Blue G
Red H
Yellow I
Blue J
Red K
Yellow L
Blue M done
Red N
Yellow O
Blue P
Red Q
Yellow R
Blue S
Red T
Yellow U
Blue V
Red W
Yellow 3
Blue X
Red Y
Yellow Z
Blue 4
I love that the letters are raised which will be great for learning letters for little ones! That is all for now.

A Few Things

1. I accomplished one of my goals by trying out a new way to style my hair from a pin on pinterest. Since no accomplishment is really real without a picture. Check out my first attempt:
2. I am on book 4 for week 4 of the year. - Head in the Clouds by Karen Whitemeyer week 1 - A Tailor Maid Bride by Karen Whitemeyer week 2 - Love Finds you in Daisy Oklahoma Janice Hannah week 3 - The Rose Legacy book 1 is the book I'm on for week 4. 3. I have 50 rows left on the blue cable blanket! I hope to be finished by the end of February. 4. Charles has influenza b. Pray that he gets better soon. Poor little fellow had the shot but got the flu anyway. He has one thing after another since September. I am ready for him to feel better! -Pray that he stays dehydrated, rests/sleeps well at naps and at night, that his cough doesn't get worse, for a fast recovery, and that noone else gets sick. 5. What happened to blogger? I no longer have the option to center, left, or right alignment with my writing. Plus even when I space everything out it ends up all together! When I add a picture I see the code but no picture until I hit publish. Spell check is also gone. If you can help me please comment! I guess that is all for now.

My New Project

I have been debating on making a throw for our living room using cables in the pattern. About 2 years ago I started using cable needles. I became addicted to how pretty the cables make the finished project and how much fun cable knitting is. I started knitting in January of 2007 and it is one of my favorite hobbies.
Things I have made:
baby blankets
throws
dishcloths/ baby bath cloths
scarfs
hats
toddler poncho
I rarely sell my work. I either keep projects for my enjoyment/use or give them away as presents.

Hat

The first baby hat I have made knitting in the round. I thought it would be really hard but it was super easy.

One Busy Weekend

Update on my knitted blanket: I am now at 18 3/4 inches. I have to get to 40 inches. I have a goal of having it finished by June 15th. Thanks Pop and Mama C for a precious soft blanket for Charles. I know it was wrapped before you got to see it so I thought I would post it for you.

This Weekend we celebrated graduation in Carroll. We are very proud of our seniors. Best wishes for very bright futures. Thanks for inviting us to share in your special weekend. Here is Patrick with some of his graduating Seniors.

Side note: I am 28 weeks here.

Radom Updates

This is the first time I have gotten to really dress up during my pregnancy. So of course I pulled out the pearls and heels. I am 27 weeks in this picture.
Patrick and I all fancy for band awards night.

This is how far I am on the blanket I am making. I have 12 inches down and about 28 inches to go. Each row is fun and has eight different types of stitch changes in each row. Lots of counting and the little markers help out a lot.

Here is a close up look so you can see the pretty detail, or what I believe is pretty.

The bathroom update: Everything is finished and looks great. See for yourself.

The ceiling above the shower looked really bad because before we moved in the bathroom did not have a fan to help remove the moisture. Also, the door got a new white paint job too.

The side wall lower panel had a big brown spot that needed to be painted over and fixed. Now it is all a pretty white.

The cabinets were also given a new paint job. I am really happy with what Patrick accomplished in this bathroom.

Oh Well

I had some really cool pictures to share of Patrick and I from Band Award Night, a picture update on the really cool blanket I am making, and I also wanted to share pictures of our newly painted bathroom. Well the bathroom was about two-three weeks ago. I just now had some time to work on updating the blog, and our little connecter to upload pictures is at the High School!!! Oh well I guess all of this will have to wait until Monday or Tuesday.

I would like to say happy birthday to all of our friends and family that have had a birthday recently. I am extremely sorry if I forgot to mail a card. My brain seems to have been removed from my body lately if I don't write down a to do list it doesn't get accomplished. So that everyone gets a happy birthday or happy anniversary:
May 12- Dianne (birthday)
May 13- Addison (birthday)
May 15- Elizabeth (birthday)
May 19- Chris and Lottie (anniversary)
May 23- Patrick (birthday)
May 25-Bill and Mike (birthday)
May 26- Jake (birthday)
May 27- Kim (birthday)
May 29- Alex and Pat (anniversary)

Knitting Bee

I have been knitting a great deal lately. I just wanted to share some of my most recent projects with you all.
This is the bathmat that I just finished from my knitting book,"Mason Dixon Knitting." It is supposed to hold up to 3 gallons of water. It is also very soft. I am debating on saving it for the next couple to get married or using it myself. Tell me your thoughts.
This is a micro premie hat. I just had to make one. If anyone has any contacts on where I can send this so that it will be used please let me know. I could also send it to you if you know someone personally.
I made this fun dress up scarf for my dear friend Heather, and I hope she recieves this before she reads about it on here! I have had this for awhile, and I hope she picked it up from my parents house since I haven't been able to see her since her birthday.

This is also a fun gift I made to go with the scarf. It can be used as a dishcloth or facecloth. I have used them for both purposes.

Here are two of the six baby hats I have made in the past two weeks.
Sorry to bore everyone, but I thought I would share my favorite hobby projects with you all!
